ICANN Registration
I think it is bull that you have to pay accredited registrars of websites money to register your domain name. Why can't we just go straight through ICANN themselves (For those of you who don't know what ICANN is, it is the governing body which controls registrations of websites on the internet.) This makes me very angry!!! I can see why websites have to be renewed, but this is rediculous! Does anyone else feel this way?! This should be against the law to be able to sell well should already be rightfully ours; I know they are just selling the service, but this service should be available through ICANN themselves. It ticks me off knowing ICANN only charges something like 25 cents to register a domain per year and most registrars like goDaddy.com and others charger an average of $9.99 and up per year. I had to vent and get that off my chest. Maybe I'll start an online petition on my website, anyone who thinks this should be available through ICANN, give me a comment or email at j03Site[at]gmail.com
